Te Maara a Ngata marae is located on Putere Road, near the junction with Arapata Road, in Raupunga. Its principal hapū is Ngāti Pāhauwera of Ngāti Kahungunu iwi.
The whare is also called Te Maara a Ngata. The marae connects ancestrally to the waka Takitimu and the awa Mohaka.
