Oruanui marae (otherwise known as Te Kapa o Te Rangiita ki Oruanui marae) is located near Oruanui, 15 km north of Taupo on Oruanui Road. The primary hapu are Ngati Kapawa and Ngati Te Rangiita of the iwi Ngāti Tūwharetoa.
The wharenui is called Te Kapa o Te Rangiita and the waharoa is Rangimarie.
