Aorangi marae is located just south of Fielding. Its primary hapū is Ngāti Kauwhata of Ngāti Raukawa ki Te Tonga.
The wharenui is named Maniaihu. Aorangi marae connects ancestrally to the Tainui waka, the awa Rangitīkei and the maunga Maungatautari.
